How do I activate it?
Search requires a License Key. Start with a free 14-day trial or buy the perpetual license outright. Either way we email you the key and both download links.
First run says "Apple could not verify" or "damaged"?
A one-time authorization is required on first run — no prompts after that. Pick your OS below.
macOS first run
Drag ImgSeek into your Applications folder, then always open the installed copy from Applications (the icon in the DMG window won't work). Then use either method:
- Recommended: open Terminal, run
xattr -cr /Applications/ImgSeek.app, then go to your Applications folder and double-click ImgSeek — it opens normally - Prefer not to use Terminal: double-click ImgSeek in your Applications folder → click "Done" in the dialog → open System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down to "ImgSeek.app was blocked" → click "Open Anyway" → confirm with your password
Still the same dialog? First make sure you're opening the copy in Applications — that's the most common cause. Also note that macOS 15 (Sequoia) and later removed the "right-click → Open" bypass: Control-clicking and choosing Open shows the very same prompt.
Windows first run
If you see the blue "Windows protected your PC" dialog when you double-click the installer, allow it through:
- Click "More info" in the lower left of the dialog
- Click "Run anyway" in the lower right to continue
Why does this appear? ImgSeek v1 is not yet code-signed with Apple / Microsoft developer certificates — we prefer to put our budget into the product itself. Authorizing once tells the OS you intentionally opened it; no more prompts after that.
